SkyOps – Drone Delivery Management App (Certification Project)

Case Study

• Problem: Shipping companies using drones needed a better way to manage operations. The main challenge was to optimize scheduling, improve visibility, and reduce communication issues.

• My Work:

  • Conducted surveys with operations managers to identify real user pain points.

  • Discovered challenges not only in scheduling and visibility but also in communication and analytics.

  • Created personas and journey maps to better understand user needs.

  • Designed wireframes and a low-fidelity prototype to map the user flows.

  • Ran an unmoderated usability study with 3 participants (remote, 10–20 minutes each).

  • Iterated into a high-fidelity prototype with updated flows and visuals.

• Outcome:

  • Users found the design intuitive and easy to navigate.

  • Visual hierarchy and imagery made the app feel more engaging.

  • The final hi-fi prototype provided a clear structure for managing deliveries, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall user satisfaction.
